Description: Item/Description: Mid Century Modern sterling silver and red glass figural decanter. Retailed by Cartier in New York. A funny flamboyant cockatoo. Ovoid glass body with wings represented by cut curved flutes; tapering tail and c-scroll handle. Short neck in sterling silver collar. Parcel gilt head cover with scaly imbricated feathers and spiky "electrified" crown. Cast legs in stiffened pose with splayed and clawed talons, possibly in alarm at the use that is being made of its body. Fully marked including retailer�s stamp and phrase "Made in Spain."
