Description
Description: Item/Description: Signed glazed ceramic pottery teapot by artist and designer, Alison Evans whose studio, founded in 2004, is based in Booth Bay, Maine. Inspired by the ocean, coastal life and nature, this organic hand-formed and hand-glazed, dark green teapot was designed in an organic form as a sea shell. Unique in size, shape and form it has an exaggerated long spout and large rounded handle that resemble bending sea plants. The body of the teapot resembles a sea gourd, decorated with drip glaze and light and dark hues of green. The lid is masterfully crafted as a conch shell, fitting onto the top of the teapot with the helix continuing through the middle of the pot. Marked with Ae Ceramics logo near base.
