Description: Item/Description: Exquisite pendant brooch by French designer, Henri Cheron (1921-2011), who began his career as a carpenter but following WWII joined the workshops of Faur� in Limoges as a jewelry designer. He was active from 1950-1990. Crafted from 14K yellow gold in a Victorian Revival style this ornate pendant brooch is framed with luminous cultured pearls in graduating sizes, hand-set into a lacy scalloped frame with ball accents and a dangling pearl drop. Center circular portrait depicts a golden haired beauty in profile hand-painted in iridescent jewel tone enameling. The red background contrasts beautifully against her blue dress and gold headband, giving the portrait a three-dimensional quality. Masterful workmanship. Roll-over safety clasp.
