Description: Item/Description: Antique pair of Art Deco era Chinese metal and jadeite planters. Ancient motif and design. Low, squat square metal bases which appear to have had bronze wash, now largely worn, have a corrugated design around sides. Greek key like feet. Light green opaque jadeite glass inserts, etched floral to bases. Wonderful attention to detail and design. Designed as removable inserts. Hallmarked to base: China.

Dimensions Planter: Length: 4 3/4"; Width: 4 3/4"; Height: 3"; 3 1/2" ( with glass insert); Depth: 2 1/4"
Condition: Good. Metal free of dents, dings, repair. Inserts fit snugly into metal bases. Signs of age, use and wear including linear gouges/ hairline crack to insides of each glass insert that do not extend through glass; scratches to glass, roughness, flea bites to edges of liners, surface debris, one insert can be removed, as shown. Removal of the other has not been attempted. Heavy oxidation, tarnish to inside of metal planters. Darkening and patina to exteriors which add to character and contrast nicely to the color of inserts. Please note these planters have not been cleaned or polished.
