Description: Item/Description: Outstanding, signed, antique needlepoint on canvas by E. Frey. Portrait of a Saint Bernard. Expert stitchwork resembles brushstrokes. Life-like coloring. Hues and contrast lend depth and character. The work has a 3-D quality. Artist signed and dated lower left: E. Frey 1910. Ornate recessed gilt wood frame. High relief carvings and scrollwork. Original hanging hardware. (Animal, Dog, Fine Art)

Dimensions: Image size: Height: 19 3/4"; Width: 15 3/4". Framed: Height: 31"; Width: 27"
Condition: Very Good. Needlepoint stitching intact. Thread is vivid and in beautiful condition. No visible damage. Art not examined out of frame. Surface use and age wear includes cracks, chipping, scratches, dust to frame. Loss to frame. Rips to paper backing.
