Description: Item/Description: Portrait drawing, study of a seated, grieving anguished woman, head in hands. Dedication and artist signed, dated lower right: " To Mrs. Ruth Crosby from John E. Costigan, N.A. 1962 ". Bamboo-style wood frame. Faux-wood look matting.
John Edward Costigan NA (American, 1888-1972) was an American artist. In 1928, he became a member of the National Academy of Design.

Condition: Very Good. Art not examined out of frame. Surface use and age wear includes discoloration to paper, scratches, scuffs to frame.
