Description: Item/Description: Limited edition mezuzah case by famed surrealist Russian-French artist, Marc Chagall (1887-1985). Crafted by Menahem Berman of ARTA Gallery, Jerusalem. Exquisitely designed scroll-like case, resembling a Torah, is fashioned out of 24K gold-plated bronze and glass. Contains a limited edition ( of 5748 copies) eighteen color lithograph adapted from the iconic Chagall painting, " I Am the Lord Thy God ". Printed on 220 gr. papier d'arches, this silkscreen lithograph depicts the Children of Israel receiving the Ten Commandments, Giving of the Torah from Moses at Mt. Sinai. Dream-like, pastel colors, angels, animals. The lithograph and case each bears a facsimile of the artist's signature.

Dimensions: Length: 5 1/2"; Width: 1 1/2"; Depth: 1". Can accommodate a 3" parchment.
Condition: Good. Free of cracks, damage. Surface use and age wear includes scratches, remnant of adhesive mounting disc at top back. Note: This auction is for case only, no Internal parchment ( klaf ), packaging, literature or hanging hardware is included.
