Hand-painted scene of Japanese noblewoman and her handmaiden surrounded by cherry blossom trees. Soft pastel hues. Beautiful detail. The reverse is a mirror. Deeply carved hardstone decorative handle has a pair of birds facing each other. Tapered handle. Unmarked. Comes in original padded cotton lined presentation box.
