Dark, somber hues. No visible signature. On back: remnants of a red stamp which appears to read: Huile (oil in French). Set into a wonderfully ornate gilt wood and painted recessed frame. Borders decorated with flora, ears of corn, scrollwork, plumes. Hanging hardware on back.
