Description: Item/Description: Oil painting of a Schooner sailing off the coast. Signed lower left: Stubbs. William Pierce Stubbs (American, 1842-1909) the son of a shipmaster, lived in Maine and Massachusetts and is known for Marine-ship portrait and genre painting. His works remain highly regarded today and are in the collections of many American museums.
