- Fierce looking Dan Guere style war mask. Hand carved wood, two tone paint, raffia beard and tradecloth headdress embellished with cowrie shells.
Material: Wood, paint, tradecloth, shells, raffia natural fiber
Dimensions: Length: 13"; Width: 7"; Depth: 4 3/4"
Condition: Musty odor. Surface use and age wear includes scratches, linear cracks, paint loss, matting to twine of beard.
- Dan Guere style war mask. Hand carved wood, embellished with animal hair/fur, cowrie shells, tradecloth natural fiber.
Material: Wood, shells, natural fiber, animal hair
Dimensions: Length:11"; Width: 7"; Depth: 4 "
Condition: Heavy surface use and age wear includes chipping/abrasions to wood, crack, paint loss, matting of hair/fur.
- Dan style mask depicts human and animal characteristics with its bird like beak and absence of human mouth. Hand carved painted wood, natural fiber filled head ornament, and raffia and animal fur beard.
