Description: Item/Description: Mid Century Modern signed Alphonse La Paglia Lily of the Valley brooch. Roll-over C clasp. Hallmarked: La Paglia Sterling 218. Alphonse La Paglia (1907-1953) was born in Sicily and studied silversmithing under Georg Jensen in Denmark. Emigrated to the United States and in the 1940s designed jewelry for Frederick Lunning ( Georg Jensen USA, Inc.) and also created his own jewelry in his Summit, New Jersey studio.

Material: Sterling Silver.

Condition: Very Good. Light surface wear, dark patina. Roll-over clasp in good working order.
