Description: Item/Description: Superb Antique 19th Century three piece garniture set by Theodore B. Starr includes cherub mantle clock and two candlesticks. Fashioned in expertly casted gilt bronze, white marble. French Louis XVI style features a standing cherub holding a harp with floral wreath and sheaves of wheat at his side. Stepped base adorned with rope of gilt bronze ball beading, garland plaques and medallions. Standing on 5 gilt bronze legs.
Clock face marked in faded lettering: Theodore B. Starr, Inc. Additional illegible word underneath the hands. Markings on inside of clock include: engraved 35 on inner door; etched J. I. H. V. 11 25 and E.O.1.5. on rim. Mechanism stamped: F.R. S.A. with downward arrow. Carved on underside of base: 510 6446.
