Description: Item/Description: 19th Century Oil on Board mountainscape of West Rock Ridge in New Haven, Connecticut. This vista was chosen as the subject of American landscape painter, Frederic Edwin Church's 1849 oil on canvas, " West Rock Ridge, New Haven. " It can be found in The National Gallery of Art, Washington D.C. This usigned oil on board is in the style of, or a study of, Church's famed work. It is set into an open-back gilt wood frame. Frederic Edwin Church (1826 - 1900) was an American landscape painter born in Hartford, Connecticut and prominent member of the Hudson River School painters.

Material: Oil on Board, Gilt Wood, Canvas.

Dimensions: Image size: Height: 6"; Width: 9". Framed: Height: 9 1/2"; Width: 12 3/4".

Condition: Good. Colors retain their vibrancy, no areas of paint loss. Surface wear. Art not examined out of frame. Areas of discoloration/ staining to canvas matting.
