Richard Lindner was a famed illustrator for Vogue and Harper's Bazarr. He began painting in his 50s, favoring expressionistic exaggeration, Surrealist fantasy, and Cubism. His works had an erotic and outlandish nature based on street scenes in New York with a historical nod to Berlin�s cabaret of the 1930s.
