Description: Item/Description: Bright, colorful oil on paper portrait of a woman with a shy smile and almond shaped eyes dressed in Middle Eastern traditional clothing accessories. Religious theme to the painted halos around her head; stylized image of Madonna. Artist signed twice across subject's collarbone: 67 CASAL and lower right corner: 70 CASAL. This work is from the Casal estate. Mr. Casal was a Cuban immigrant who came to the United States in the 1950s. See several of his other works included at this auction.
